Wild Grape Gone Wild
A friend of ours has a Wild Grape (Vitis californica) that is truly wild. It’s also entertaining in a “Don’t try this at home, kids!” kind of way, so it has managed to hold onto its spot in the garden. I’ve never planted one and gotta say I’m now a bit skeptical. Town Mouse says:That’s really something. Meanwhile, I have a native grape I got 2 1/2 years ago and it’s really not doing much. To top it off, when I got it, the leaves were a dark plum, the following fall the leaves were an attractive gold. Can’t wait to see what it will be this year…
